So its late. About time for me to go to sleep.

But I have been thinking about Sunday. I'm in Primary and I teach CTR 6. I was supposed to have a sub this week, but my plans fell through with my friend and I'm really excited to teach my class on Sunday. I love the children I teach. They are just so amazing. I'm trying to make it a better class and here are some of my ideas I have come up with.

I assign seatting.

I have one child each week be my helper.

I have a star chart. At the beginning of class I put all the children's names on the chalk board. If they're good they get a max of two stars, and if they do something disruptive I take a star away, usually by the end of the class everyone made their two stars. Then For the next week I put it on a poster board so they can see how they're doing. Then when they get to a certain number of stars, I will bring in the prize box and let them bring a little prize with them.

The bestest thing I love is our Journal time. I have a little journal for each child and they draw a picture about the lesson we just learned in class. Then I'll write in it for them. I really like doing journal time. It takes up extra time after the lesson and it helps the children to think about the lesson they just learned.

I have to say I love teaching. I love the children and I love teaching the children I have taught before. The things that I teach about I know is true.
